but the important point illustrated here is that the model has identified
the factor which controls oscillation decay, viz. the energy separation
between reproduction and growth of older stunted animals.
The model developed above can be improved in various ways. For
example, the birth submodel could be bettered and temperature
dependence could be included in all submodels. The latter modification
should not be very difficult to implement.
