The originality of cyprinids and their importance in world fish-farming as the most widely farmed fish in the world justify the publication of such volume about aquaculture of cyprinids. This volume presents reviewed papers given at the symposium by international specialists and summarizing the actual state of knowledge and techniques in the main fields of cyprinids farming; nutrition, reproduction, genetics, larva rearing, growth in ponds, farming practices, pathology, processing and economy.
During this symposium, original results were also presented in posters at the end of each session. Summaries of these posters (not reviewed) are presented in this volume as well as round table conclusions edited by the session presidents. The present volume is not a treatise of cyprinid farming but a review that brings up to date existing works in the field.
Two hundred and fifty people from 26 countries attended the symposium organized in France near Paris. The aim was to bring together central European specialists (invited as part of a bilateral exchange program with France) and the rest of international scientific and technical community.

Active Calculus is different from most existing texts in at least the following ways: The style of the text requires students to be active learners; there are very few worked examples in the text, with there instead being 3 or 4 activities per section that engage students in connecting ideas, solving problems, and developing understanding of key calculus ideas. Each section begins with motivating questions, a brief introduction, and a preview activity, all of which are designed to be read and completed prior to class. The exercises are few in number and challenging in nature. The book is open source and can be used as a primary or supplemental text.

Le présent ouvrage comporte trois parties bien définies qui permettent de passer des connaissances théoriques à des applications efcaces. , ‘La première partie apporte une connaissance à la fois large et précise de l’écrevisse. Une morphologie très sérieuse conduit à une biologie aussi vaste que possible, y compris l’étude des populations, les nuisances et les connaissances récentes sur les maladies des écrevisses.
Une seconde partie, plus technique et plus pratique, concerne l’élevage des écrevisses. Elle tient compte des travaux récents sur la question et cela à l’échelle mondiale. Elle souligne, avec preuves à l’appui, la grande différence entre pisciculture et astaciculture. La distinction entre élevage extensif et élevage intensif est très heureuse, car elle permet de bien séparer ce qui est du ressort du repeuplement des « places vides » ou de la consommation alimentaire humaine.
La troisième partie est économique. Après un aperçu à l’échelle mondiale, l’auteur envisage le problème français sous ses divers aspects, tant pour la consommation que pour les loisirs auxquels on donne maintenant une grande importance bien justiée. Monsieur Arrignon achève cette partie par une étude de « Stratégie d’aménagement et de gestion des peuplements d’écrevisses ». Il aborde ainsi un problème actuel auquel nous ne sommes pas encore habitués, mais qui est appelé à un important retentissement à l’avenir : c’est celui d’une forme nettement technocratique d’action avec le concept de « rendement maximal supportable » (RMS). On comprend les craintes de l’auteur ; en effet, dans le domaine de la vie, les Sciences n’atteignent jamais tous les paramètres existants malgré les importantes connaissances acquises ou en cours d’acquisition. Le « bios » ne peut être géré uniquement par de purs techniciens en chambre, mais il a besoin aussi des professionnels ainsi que d’excellents biologistes qui demeurent souples et réalistes devant la .complexité du Vivant, c’est-à—dire dans le cas présent, en face des problèmes astacicoles., Sur un plan plus synthétique, je me permets trois remarques. Dans l’importante bibliographie (qui ne comporte que les travaux cités) la plupart des références concernent des publications ayant moins de quinze années d’ancienneté .Ceci suffit à prouver combien le présent ouvrage est actuellement au point.
A l’heure en parle volontiers de << pluridisciplinarité », mais il est rare qu’un ouvrage exprime en fait une réelle c’est—à—dire qu’il traite avec une qualité égale les aspects théoriques et ,les aspects appliqués ; c’est cependant ce qu’a réalisé Monsieur Arrignon. est encore un Concept récent appliquer au présent ouvrage: c’est celui de « prospective ». Monsieur Arrignon, deux dernières parties, ne se contente pas de décrire; mais et expose ses propres réflexions, fruit de son
expérience des perspectives qui sont en fait nettement prospectives.

Here we collect all tables of contents of all the books on mathematics I have written so far for the publisher. In the rst list the topics are grouped according to their headlines, so the reader quickly can get an idea of where to search for a given topic. In order not to make the titles too long I have in the numbering added a for a compendium b for practical solution procedures (standard methods etc.) e for examples. The ideal situation would of course be that all major topics were supplied with all three forms of books, but this would be too much for a single man to write within a limited time. After the rst short review follows a more detailed review of the contents of each book. Only Linear Algebra has been supplied with a short index. The plan in the future is also to make indices of every other book as well, possibly supplied by an index of all books. This cannot be done for obvious reasons during the rst couple of years, because this work is very big, indeed. It is my hope that the present list can help the reader to navigate through this rather big collection of books. Finally, since this list from time to time will be updated, one should always check when this introduction has been signed. If a mathematical topic is not on this list, it still could be published, so the reader should also check for possible new books, which have not been included in this list yet. Unfortunately errors cannot be avoided in a rst edition of a work of this type. However, the author has tried to put them on a minimum, hoping that the reader will meet with sympathy the errors which do occur in the text

This book is the thirteenth in a series of books on software development. The programming language is Java, and the language and its syntax and semantics fills obviously much, but the books have also largely focus on the process and how to develop good and robust applications. This book is a continuation of the subjects in Java 11, but with focus on the development of enterprise applications. They are programs that performs their work using components or services hosted on different computers and located on different places, which communicate and coordinate their work over a network. Primary topics are Java EE technologies as JPA, EJB and Web Services. The book requires knowledge of programming of web applications similar to what has been dealt with in the books Java 11 and Java 12.

In this book for the optimisation of assembly conveyor lines we are dealing with series part production featured by a medium complexity degree and a medium number of individual components and assembly technique alternatives. Modern production techniques for medium to large series products or mass production usually involve assembly conveyor lines. The aim is to have monotonous and similar in type operations or such causing fatigue, stress and production traumas, gradually replaced by automated assembly cycles, means and techniques. Le cours présenté dans ce livre étudie les conséquences de cette diversité de liaisons sur les propriétés physiques des polymères. Il aborde également la cristallisation des polymères et les techniques de caractérisation. Un nouveau chapitre traite des propriétés ultimes des polymères. La cohérence de l'ensemble du cours suivant une approche physique est à souligner.

This is a book on linear algebra and matrix theory. While it is self contained, it will work best for those who have already had some exposure to linear algebra. It is also assumed that the reader has had calculus. Some optional topics require more analysis than this, however. I think that the subject of linear algebra is likely the most significant topic discussed in undergraduate mathematics courses. Part of the reason for this is its usefulness in unifying so many different topics. Linear algebra is essential in analysis, applied math, and even in theoretical mathematics. This is the point of view of this book, more than a presentation of linear algebra for its own sake. This is why there are numerous applications, some fairly unusual. This book features an ugly, elementary, and complete treatment of determinants early in the book. Thus it might be considered as Linear algebra done wrong. I have done this because of the usefulness of determinants. However, all major topics are also presented in an alternative manner which is independent of determinants. The book has an introduction to various numerical methods used in linear algebra. This is done because of the interesting nature of these methods. The presentation here emphasizes the reasons why they work. It does not discuss many important numerical considerations necessary to use the methods effectively. These considerations are found in numerical analysis texts. In the exercises, you may occasionally see at the beginning. This means you ought to have a look at the exercise above it. Some exercises develop a topic sequentially. There are also a few exercises which appear more than once in the book. I have done this deliberately because I think that these illustrate exceptionally important topics and because some people don't read the whole book from start to finish but instead jump in to the middle somewhere. There is one on a theorem of Sylvester which appears no fewer than 3 times. Then it is also proved in the text. There are multiple proofs of the Cayley Hamilton theorem, some in the exercises. Some exercises also are included for the sake of emphasizing something which has been done in the preceding chapter.
