2. A number of options for scale bars will appear in a new Scale Bar

3. Additional scale bars are available by clicking the More Styles button.
You can alter the appearance of the scale bar (adjusting the number of
divisions on the bar, for the display units shown on the scale bar, etc.) by
selecting the Properties button.
4. Select an appropriate scale bar and click OK. Use the cursor to position
or resize the scale bar on the layout.
7.8 Inserting a North Arrow
1. To add a north arrow to the map, choose the Insert pull-down menu and
select North Arrow.
