The identification of the different moraine types can be based on the activity of ice
masses and the environments (subglacial and marginal) in which they developed (Chorley
et al., 1984) (Figure 4.11). Subglacial forms originate under an active temperate glacier
due to the supply of particles resulting from the melting of the glacier base. One of the
