Résumé
L'Algérie a l'obligation en tant que partie de la Convention Cadre des Nations Unies sur les Changements
Climatiques (CCNUCC) de préparer périodiquement une communication nationale conformément aux
paragraphes 1 de l'article 4, et 1 de l'article 12 dudit accord. Cette communication doit couvrir, entre
autres, trois chapitres importants dont la production d'un inventaire national des émissions anthropiques
de gaz à effet de serre « GES ». Ce travail consiste à effectuer une partie de l'inventaire des émissions de
gaz à effet de serre dans la wilaya d'Alger. Il est mis en œuvre conformément aux directives de la
CCNUCC. Cet inventaire couvre la période de 2008 à 2020. Il est basé sur les Lignes directrices 2006 du
GIEC, les orientations du Groupe consultatif d'experts de la CCNUCC et les Recommandations de
bonnes pratiques du GIEC en matière de changement climatique 2001 et 2003. Il couvre les émissions du
secteur du transport maritime et du sous-secteur de l'agriculture (élevage) ; à savoir : le dioxyde de
carbone (CO 2 ), le méthane (CH 4 ) et l'oxyde nitreux (N 2 O). Le secteur du transport maritime domine les
émissions (5983,499 Gg) comparé aux activités d’élevage du sous-secteur de l'élevage (470,812 Gg). Ces
émissions ont tendance à augmenter au fil des années.

Abstract
Algeria is obliged as a party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
(UNFCCC), to periodically prepare a national communication in accordance with paragraphs 1 of article
4, and 1 of article 12 of the said accord. This communication must cover, among other things, three
important chapters, whom the elaboration of a national inventory of anthropogenic greenhouse. This work
consists in carrying out a part of the calculation of the inventory of greenhouse gases emissions in the
Wilaya of Algiers. It is implemented in accordance with UNFCCC guidelines. This inventory covers the
period from 2008 to 2020. It is based on the 2006 IPCC Guidelines, the guidance of the UNFCCC Expert
Advisory Group and the IPCC Good Practice Recommendations on climate change 2001 and 2003. It
covers emissions from the maritime transport sector and the agriculture (livestock) sub-sector; namely:
carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), methane (CH 4 ) and nitrous oxide (N 2 O). The maritime transport sector dominates
emissions (5983.499 Gg) compared to animal breeding within the agriculture sub-sector (470.812 Gg).
The emissions of the two sectors tend to increase over the years.
