9.4. Discussion
Results of the model suggest that recovery of eelgrass shoots after a decline
can be rapid if the temporal and spatial conditions will support it. In fulllight conditions, there is little eelgrass biomass at the beginning of the year
and by summer, eelgrass beds are abundant and dense (Figure 9.9). Because
eelgrass biomass is reduced in the beginning of the year anyway, eelgrass is
