Water Sources and Quality Along the Lower Jordan River

Ian downstream from Alumot) representing all the sampling trips. These values
are compared with the theoretical linear mixing curve between Alumot waters and
Yarmouk waters. The linear relationships and reasonable agreement with the
mixing curve supports our hypothesis that identifies similarities between the
Yarmouk and the unknown input. Later in this chapter, we show results of detailed
mass balance measurements and calculations that were obtained in February 200l.
We will compare these results with our hypothesis that the unknown inflow has a
chemical signature similar to that of the Yarmouk water.
