Accessing Geoenvironmental Data: From On-line to Expert Systems
GOLDIS's RSN system as well as NASA MD or ESA PID provides users with
physical and logical access to remote systems and automatic log-on procedures for
open systems. It is the user's responsibility to obtain a personal username and
password if remote system requests them.
OPEN ENTRY. The current option provides users with a possibility to connect
directly from GOLDIS to any X.25 (and Internet in the nearest future) network
address (domestic or international) typed by user. System checks correctness of
syntax and Decimal Network Identification Code (DNIC).
• Registering system. The current version supports a self-registering
procedure, possibility to type and edit user's card, change password and
view list of registered users. Inclusion in the User Net list must be
authorized by GOLDIS administrator.
