"Accidental host
of any Antarctic lepocreadiid species further north than in the SubAntarctic
is not known. Three species belong to two other higher taxa - families
Monorchiidae (one species) and Fellodistomidae (two species) (Table 4).
Postmonorchis variabilis is common in its proper hosts (Notothenioidei)
off South Georgia and in the SubAntarctic, and absent in subcontinental
waters. Both fellodistomid species were recognized for the first time in
1996 in the Weddell Sea and recently described as new [6]. According to
