Eubranchipus Verrill, 1870
Eversible penis short, fat, cylindrical with single long,
thin spine on lateral margin at tip. Basal, nonretractile penis short with hard, intensely chitinized medial
portion formed into low ridge set with various small
processes, poster edge may extend process-like; lateral
portion less chitinized and flexible. Penes close together. Seminal vesicles clearly defined. Antennae twojointed and separate with single lamelliform antennal
appendage near proximal end of basal segment of each
antenna.
For a complete list of the 16 species currently
described in the genus Eubranchipus, see Belk &
Brtek (1995). This list includes zoogeographic information.
