Organ Culture
Results
According to Theodor (1969), gorgonian tissues survived for more than
1 month in seawater. The following changes were observed in the culture: (1) cellular reaggregation and reconstitution of a new animal; (2)
the survival of either explants or cells; or (3) cellular multiplication with
or without apparent differentiation processes.
