• • Results
According to Durchon and Richard (1967), the optic glands of 4-6-monthold cuttlefish showed the secretion process as early as 4th day in culture.
In cultures of immature ovaries cultured alone, the ovocytes continued
their growth, but the germinative cord showed no resumption of activity. When ovaries and optic gland were cultured together, ovocytes larger
than 0.3 mm doubled their size in 20 days.
