Aeromonas veronii biovar veronii
There has been a report of Aer. veronii biovar veronii occurring in Chinese longsnout catfi sh ( Leiocassis longirostris ) with identifi cation of cultures resulting from
use of phenotyping and sequencing of the 16S rDNA genes. Virulence was confi rmed in Chinese longsnout catfi sh, with the LD 50 dose reported as 3.47 × 10
4 CFU/
fi sh and 11.22 μg of ECPs/fi sh by i.p. injection. It was observed that the ECPs contained elastase, gelatinase, lecithinase and mostly lipase (Cai et al. 2012 ).
