7. Amathia convoluta LAMOURoux, 1816
Several colonies collected from Tuticorin, Bay of Bengal. Enjoys a very wide distribution.
8. Zoobotryon verticillatum DELLE CHIAjE, 1828
Four colonies collected from Madras Harbour, Bay of Bengal. This species exhibits
few intraspecific differences. Circumtropical in distribution.
9. Bowerbankia gracilis LEIDY, 1855
Three colonies found epizoic on calcareous polychaete tubes. Variations in length
of the zooecia usually occur. Previously recorded from the Pacific; the present finding
extends the distribution of this species to the Indian Ocean.
10. Triticella korenii SARS, 1874
Several colonies found epizoic on the thoracic appendages of a spider crab, caught
off Cochin. First record of this species from the Indian Ocean.
11. Triticella pedicellate ALDER, 1857
Several colonies collected from the walking legs of Charybdis cuscuta, caught off
Cochin. Morphometrical variations occur between zooids of different colonies.
12. Aeverrillia setigera HINKS, 1887
Found as a fouler on glass panels exposed under water in Cochin harbour. Cosmopolitan in distribution.
