Nematoscelis megalops at 155 and 300 m, N.
atlantica at 180 and 423 m, and S. abbreviatum at
89 and 137 m, while only juveniles of E. hemigibba (1750 m, at station J1) and N. megalops (1125
and 800 m at stations J2 and Tl) were found
deeper.
Day/Night Vertical Migration
Day/night vertical distribution of E. hemigibba,
N. megalops and E. krohni in Ionian basin and of
T. aequalis, E. hemigibba, N. megalops and S.
abbreviatum in southern Tyrrhenian Sea are
reported in Figs. 4 and 5. Some of these species
