Ashik et af.,' Extreme Oscillations ofthe Laptev Sea Level
41
Conclusion
It is obvious that existence of this feature in the regime of the extreme level oscillations indicates
a uniform character of effective surge directions for most stations of the Laptev Sea and the
excess of the northern winds over the southern ones which is confirmed by the analysis of the
wind regime of separate regions of the Laptev Sea.
Performed study can be considered as a basis for preparing a specialized regime-reference
handbook on the extreme level oscillations in the Laptev Sea.
