excess of the values of absolute maximums over the values of the absolute minimums. The only
exception is one station: Cape Svjatoy Nos where the value of the absolute minimum exceeds
that of the absolute maximum by 46 cm. At some stations (Maliy Taymir Island, Kosistiy Cape,
Sannikova Strait) the difference in the values of the absolute maximum and the absolute
minimum is comparatively small being 5-10 cm. At the stations Andreja Island, Preobragenija
Island, Kotelniy Island, Tiksi Bay, Dunay Island, Muostach Island the excess of the absolute
maximum value over that of the absolute minimum isl5--40 cm. The most significant
difference between the values of the absolute maximum and minimum governed by sea factors
is observed for the stations Terpjay-Tumsa Cape and Kigiljach Cape where it is equal to 5055 cm.
During significant storm surges, the rise of a level (Figure 2b), as well as its fall (Figure I b),
in Guba Buor-Raja occurs much more intensively, than in Janskiy zaliv. That is connected to
distinctions in morphometric of these regions.
