River mouth looking for the archaeological sites and nothing really ancient was found. The only
place where redeposited surface finds were collected was near the Logata mouth. And this is
nothing to be surprised at, because the terrace is much younger than it was expected. In this
case, the observations from the Oleny brook site are going to change the strategy of further
surveying in that area. At the same time, the accumulation could be (at least at the Oleny Brook)
of the lake origin, marking some catastrophic fluctuation of the Taymyr Lake (personel
communication from Dmitri Bolshiyanov during the IIIrd Laptev Sea System Workshop,
