sediment core PG 1228 comprises laminated silt and clay with distinct sand layers. Water
content is above 40% and shows relatively strong variability, in particular above 6 m core depth
(Figure 8).
UnitL2
In general, unit L2 is characterised by the strongest lateral variability of sediment thickness
from about 30 m in the central part to about 2 m at 38 m (Figure 10). Onlaps show that the unit
lenses out above 33 m (Figure 9). Similar to the unit Ll, L2 sediments drape subbottom
