Selivanovskaya branches. In the lower reaches of the Kamennaya branch, the Poperechnaya II
branch separates from it independently exiting to the delta front. The water regime of the delta
over its entire length is influenced both by the river runoff and sea level oscillations.
The runoff to the Kolyma delta is usually characterized on the basis of data of the
Kolymskoye section which has a long observations series but does not take into account the
water content of the Stadukhinskaya flood-plain branch. Stadukhinskaya branch by-passes the
main hydrometric section situated in the main channel. Hence it is more acceptable to estimate
