The Govedartsi Station situated along the northern slopes ofRila Mountains is
a representative ecosystem of Picea abies, Abies alba, and Pinus sylvestris at 1500
m a.s.l. and contains an experimental watershed from 1200 to 2500 m a.s.l. with a
marked presence of a moderate-continental climate. Studies began in 1963.
Some data for air temperature and precipitation for the two stations at 1500 m
above sea level are shown on Fig. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Red = Station M, blue = Station C
