Global Spatial Data Infrastructure
The GSDI is mainly a commercial group promoting agiobai data infrastructure
similar to the regional developments such as the FGDC in the United States. GSDI
offers support that includes education in technological, legal, and economic marters.

GSDI is an advocacy organization whose goal is to encourage
compatible Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI), globally identifying
best practices, and providing a forum for the discussion of capacity
building.
• Foster active multinational partlclpation in GSDI Working
Groups for technology, legal and economic marters.
• Develop and disseminate an SDI Implementation Guide in all
UN approved languages.
• Educate decision-makers on the benefits ofGSDI.
• Advance the GSDI mission until agiobai SDI is achieved.
