The ISO 19115 does not explicitly provide for the recording of quantitative quality information as metadata for feature instances or for attribute values. Quantitative
quality information for single occurrences of items when differing from their parent
types may be implemented by carrying the quality information as an attribute of the
occurrences with the dataset.
Data quality measures
While writing this book, work is continuing on the ISOfTS 19138 (Data quality
measures). This technical specification shall provide a definitive set of measures that
can be used for different types of data in appropriate circumstances. The details of
the measures shall be recorded in a registry according to the ISO 19135. The ISOfTS
19138 will enable the user to test a dataset against the measures in the registry. This
