Habitat: Ponds, ditches, pools, and rivers.
Description: This species has a small,
slender body with an oblique mouth.
Scales are small. Lower jaw is almost
equal to upper jaw. Color of the body
is translucent with a yellowish green
back. Flank and belly are silvery white.
Fins are hyaline. A golden spot is seen
on the occiput. It reaches a maximum
size of only 5 cm (Galib, 2011).
