The data concerning the analysis of the diet of C. hi‘ppuru5 are
presented in table
2 and gures 5 and 6.
Table 2 shows a number of food items were eath by
C. hz‘ppurus in both years, 1981 and 1982, the most abundant food
items were Sardinella aurita, Belone belone and Danichïhyes species
Other minor food item was Maena smaris the least important food
items for C. hzppurus diet were Lolig0 vulgaris Mama maena and
Mullus
