Also exhibiting antibiotic properties are eckol (G) and 8,8’-bieckol (H), which
are phlorotannin compounds isolated from seaweed. Seaweed-derived bromophenol
(A), callipeltin J (B), and holothurin B (C) have been found to exhibit powerful
antifungal properties (Fig. 10.19).
