precession speed. In Korea, a 900 MHz large magnetic resonance device (900 MHz
NMR) set up in 2005 has been widely used in analyzing the structures of natural
substances (Fig. 10.13).
In the case of hydrogen, the precession oscillation frequency for a magnetic field
strength of 14,000 G is around 60 MHz. Coupling of the two electric fields occurs
when the oscillation frequency during precessional movement equals the oscillation
frequency of hydrogen’s charge. When this happens, energy is transmitted from the
