(2) Applications in Textile Industry-Related Areas
In textile dyeing, color sometimes changes as gelling agents react with the fibers.
This rarely happens with alginic acid thickening agents. Sodium alginate paste is
idea for dye printing, making it ① suitable for textile printing. Other advantages
include ② its markedly low chemical reactivity, ③ its ability to maintain reliability
viscosity during processing, ④ its stability for all dye colors, ⑤ its ability to wash
off easily, and ⑥ its protection of expensive screens from scratching or staining.
