taking into account these advantages, the NIR has been applied successfully in
dye analysis [53, 57–59]. multivariate calibration methods such as multiple linear
regression (mLR), principal component regression (PCR) and partial least squares
(PLS) are typically and successfully used to determine the chemical composition of
analyzed dyes. one can even state, that PLS is a method that can be regarded as a
typical tool in chemometric analysis of the NIR data obtained from dyes.
