Fig. 16.6 Principle diagram of color calibration
respectively. After the flat field calibration, the response characteristics of LUT in
different wavelength light source should be calculated.
3) Principle and method of focal spot test
The method of the focal spot test is shown in Fig. 16.6. The star target was placed in
the focal plane of the collimation system (parallel optical tube).
The CCD was cooled to the predetermined temperature, and the image was
collected to measure the shape and size of the spot.
4) Principle and method of full-field imaging test
The method of the full-field imaging test is shown in Fig. 16.6, and the star-target
plate was replaced by the stars-target matrix board.
The CCD as cooled to predetermined temperature, the image was collected and
the imaging effect of CCD array was analyzed.
5) Principle and method of ultimate detection capability test
The method of the ultimate detection capability test is shown in Fig. 16.6. UV
monochromatic light source was changed to UV light source, and the light source
brightness adjustment system was added at the focal plane of the collimating system
(parallel optical tube).
The CCD was refrigerated to predetermined temperature and the light source
brightness was adjusted to test light radiation brightness and obtain images. After
light radiation brightness being converted to the corresponding magnitude, the limits
of detection ability of the telescope were analyzed.
