14.6.2 Flight Simulation Test for All Mission Phases
The ground flight simulation test design was as complex as mission profile of the
Chang’E-3 lunar lander, including different modes such as LTO and powered descent
in complex status with the lunar rover, release and separation on lunar surface, operation on lunar surface and etc. For both single probe test and all mission phases
test in complex status, modularized design idea was applied. The flight procedure
was classified into different units, which were designed separately with different test
procedures and sequence. When the test was implemented, test units were combined
according to test requirements to form test cases in order to improve the reuse level
of test cases and the efficiency of test design.
For example, in the flight simulation test before release and separation process on
lunar surface of Change’E-3 lunar lander, there were 16 units as listed in Table 14.5.
The unit test process is shown in Fig. 14.6. After one test unit was accomplished, it
could be chosen to enter the next unit or finish the test after the status recovery. The
modularized design could greatly improve the flexibility of test management and the
efficiency of test implementation.
