When the dimension of lunar lander after deployment of landing cushion mechanism
was determined, the turn over region was determined as well shown in Fig. 3.29. The
translation distance d of the safe line was determined by the requirements of stability
design of lunar lander. When the d is bigger, the safe region was smaller and safety
factor of stability design was bigger.
