Manufacturing Career Day
Manufacturing Career Day is an interactive educational program that is centered around
the fields of manufacturing for high school students at all levels. Students attend a one
day session designed to provide exposure to business leaders, hear from Raven team
members, and explore real-life applications in manufacturing. It is particularly tailored
for students who are “good with their hands” and enjoy solving problems.
Ideal candidates may have an interest in manufacturing operations or one of the
following job types:
• Operator.
• Assembler.
• Production Technician.
• Production Supervisor.
• Welder.
Participants are given guided tours of the manufacturing facilities for each of the
company’s operating divisions. In addition to seeing how products are built, they
receive an up-close look at the tools and equipment used from manufacturing and
testing to product repair.
Raven team members lead discussions with students on the various career paths
within manufacturing operations. Students hear about each team member’s story,
including their education/background, their Raven job roles and the projects they
work on. They discuss how much schooling was necessary for their position and
the growth opportunities available.
