dren’s song about a killifish school has the following lyrics: “Regardless of who are
the students and who is the teacher, everybody is playing together.” This indicates
that we are entering an era similar to the killifish schools. Where there are no teachers, we should rely on exchanges of the diversity of experiences and ideas of the
people who are participating. In so doing, we will transition into a society where
people will continue to teach one another, train one another, and learn from one
another.
The Marunouchi Platinum University is like a killifish school as it enhances the
ability to move toward a platinum society (Fig. 27). Although it only recently
opened in July 2016, it is already packed with students. It is encouraging to know
that we have entered an era where businesspersons in the Marunouchi district neighborhood subscribe to these paid courses.
The Platinum Society Network consistently positions human resources development as one of its most important projects (Fig. 28). The Platinum Society School
is diverse. It is another killifish school aimed at building a society focused on lifelong learning. The many examples of their initiatives include a university where
local government employees gather in Tokyo to present “Our Town’s Platinum
Concept,” a policy competition event for employees’ groups organized by local governments, a venue that gathers public health nurses who play a key role in regional
medical services, and a Platinum Energy School that promotes citizens’ understanding through junior and senior high school students. Even the “Platinum Development
of Future Human Assets Juku (Cram School),” where Nobel Prize scholars and
former Bank of Japan governors teach junior high school students, as well as robot
