A large-scale vacuum system is a research and development device composed of
two vacuum spherical tanks with a volume of 20,000 m
3 and supporting pipelines.
The inner wall of the ball shell is provided with longitudinal and circumferential Tshaped reinforcing ribs, which are welded with the ball shell plate to form a combined
ball shell structure resistant to external pressure. In case of no test, the spherical tank
is in vacuum state for a long time unless equipment maintenance is carried out. The
main technical parameters of the large vacuum system are shown in Table 38.1, and
its physical object is shown in Fig. 38.1.
Compared with the conventional pressure vessel, the large vacuum system has the
characteristics of large geometry size, internal stiffener, obvious difference in stress
distribution, numerous noise interference effects, and difficulty in retesting results.
