33.3 Results and Discussion
33.3.1 Changes of Cylinder Appearance During Testing
There were not visible changes in cylinder appearance before 29,000 cycle times.
Trivial damage was found in the region of impact damage after 29,000 cycle times,
as shown in Fig. 33.5a. The liner began to deform locally after 31,500 cycle times
and cylinder leaked after 34,800 cycle times, as shown in Fig. 33.5b, c.
