metal base plates, as shown in Fig. 30.5. Thus, we can directly couple the sensor to
the metal base plate of the fixed rod, as shown in Fig. 30.6. With the help of these
fixed accessories as waveguide rods, AE signals from the inner tank can be received
by the sensors. The test method of acoustic conduction effect is similar to the above
method. The acoustic source positioning results of AE on-line detection of the inner
tank bottom plate are shown in Figs. 30.7 and 30.8. The test results show that this
method also basically meets the requirements of AE on-line detection of such tanks.
