different forms of Yb were synthesized mainly as CT contrast and up-conversion
hybrid nanomaterials.
Despite a long history of nanoparticles-based contrast agent development for Xray imaging applications, there is still potential to improve in both pre-clinical and
clinical practice. Improving properties such as prolonged circulation and the ability
to target the particles would accelerate the innovation in CT imaging. This eventually can lead to detecting various disease diagnoses at an early stage. Since X-ray
