8.4.2 Oil Spreading Test
The oil spreading assay was successfully conducted for the crude biosurfactant
obtained from solvent extraction to reveal the biosurfactant activity. The diameter
of the oil displacement was noted as 4 cm diameter. The zone of oil displacement
correlates with the biosurfactant activity (Swetal and Vaidehi 2018) (Fig. 2).
