4 Data Analysis
4.1 Ecological Footprint
The ecological footprint of resources and energy sources is calculated as tabulated
in Table 5.
The ecological footprint of all the required resources is calculated based on the
embodied energy of these resources. The embodied energy is used to convert and
calculate the equivalent GHG emissions based on the sources of primary energy used
by the country.
Ecological footprint of various products (per ton) of the industry based on the
amount of energy and resources currently consumed is shown in Table 6 grouped
on the basis of raw material, energy, manpower, transportation and built-up land
requirements. The product-wise ecological footprint is calculated, as shown in
Table 7.
