substantial negative effect on the atmosphere, resulting in heightened health threats
and a challenge to climate change [10, 18, 26]. Increased use of fossil fuels to
satisfy existing energy demands concern about the energy shortage has created a
revival in interest in encouraging green alternatives to satisfy the growing energy
challenges of the modern world [5, 69]. Too much use of non-renewable resources
has induced global warming by CO 2 ; thus, the development of renewable energy
from sustainable energies is desperately needed [2, 21, 36]. Changes in ecosystem
development are growing more and more socially appropriate globally, particularly
in developed nations. Society is increasingly shifting to more efficient development
practices, minimization of waste, removal of automotive environmental pollution,
distribution of power production, protection of forest areas, and reduce greenhouse
gas emissions [37, 54].
Renewable energies are known as green energy technology options and the efficient usage of these products minimizes environmental effects, creates minimal
ancillary emissions and are viable based on present and emerging socioeconomic
empowerment. Renewable energy solutions offer an outstanding chance to minimize
emissions of greenhouse gases and reduce global warming by eliminating traditional
energy sources [44]. Clean energy supplies can play a key role in the sustainability
of the planet. Energy resources have been categorized into three subgroups: nonrenewable sources, natural energy, and radioactive energy [11]. Clean energy options
comprise organic matter, hydroelectric power, solar, geothermal, tidal energy, wind
energy, and ocean. Renewable electricity is the predominant, household and green
or boundless energy option [13]. Renewable sources that satisfy household energy
needs have the ability to produce nil or almost nil emissions of all atmospheric air
pollutants and greenhouse emissions. Developing a clean energy infrastructure would
make it easier to meet the most critical tasks at current such as enhancing the security
of energy sources, biofuel currency, addressing regional electricity, water shortage
problems, enhancing the effectiveness of life and jobs of the native community. It
also maintains the sustainable economic growth of isolated areas in the desert and
mountain areas and the introducing initiatives [14, 35, 70].
The excavation and utilization of natural resources intensify at the same time as
a rise in profits, which leads to a reduction in biodiversity thus raising the ecological
footprint [43, 63]. The ecological footprint has identified as a measure of ecological destruction in published studies [3, 7, 63]. Increasing economic development
accelerates the exploitation of natural resources and raises the ecological footprint
[43]. Even so, renewables are plentiful and viable, while non-renewable resources are
wasteful and limited, and their use raises the ecological footprint [42]. Ecological
footprint is commonly used in favor of sustainable assessment that could be built
for evaluation and monitoring of commodity utilization throughout the world and
evaluates the sustainable development of people’s lives, products or services, businesses, urban centers, communities, regions, and nations [57]. Based on the above, it
is indeed essential to remember the hypothesized relationship between total wages,
leasing of natural resources and ecological footprint, taking into account possible
variables such as sustainable energy and urbanization.
