About the Authors
Eldiiar  Duulatov is a research associate in the
Geography Department at Institute of Geology,
National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic
(NAS KR), and senior lecturer in the Geography,
Ecology and Tourism Department, Jusup Balasagyn
Kyrgyz National University. He received his Ph.D. in
Cartography and GIS in 2019. Dr. Duulatov studied at
the Kyrgyz National University for a bachelor’s degree
(B.Sc.) in human geography and a master’s (M.Sc.)
degree in physical geography and at Xinjiang Institute
of Ecology and Geography, University of Chinese
Academy of Sciences, China, for his doctoral degree.
His research interests were focused on problems of soil
erosion, in particular, the climate change–induced rainfall erosivity in the soil erosion processes during a
Ph.D. study. Currently, he is working on water resources
and hydrological modelling in the upper stream of the
Syrdarya Basin. Dr. Duulatov participates regularly in
the International Scientific Activities (Conference,
Forum, and Symposium) on Environmental Problems
as well as writes articles on the subject and takes part
in  local and international projects. He has published
several SCI papers in high-ranking international peerreviewed journals and is an active member of the
Kyrgyz Geographical Society.
