8.5 Disposal
In the context of solid waste management, the term disposal means the process of
finally disposing a solid waste. The solid waste can be disposed of as it provides
post-recovery of material and energy to extent possible. The disposal method
depends on many factors that includes:
• Types of waste (radioactive, hazardous, bio-medical, construction and demolition etc.)
• Availability of fund.
• Access to technology.
