• The number of the propeller blades was six.
• Two holes were drilled on each propeller blade.
• Second set of propeller blades were made from plastic.
• Each blade with an additional 10 mm length and 10 mm width of the original size
of propeller blades.
• Third and last set of propeller blades were made from plastic too.
• Third set of blades had an additional of 10 mm length and 10 mm width of the
size of the second propeller blades as shown in Fig. 18.7 and Table 18.4.
• Water hyacinth harvester model was fixed with propeller number 1 to the aft of
the model, in this case is regarded as the original propeller too.
• Time was recorded for the model to travel a distance of 1 m with the original
propeller.
• Time was reset and the recorded again for the model to travel 2 meters.
• Without changing the propeller, the process was done 10 times by adding 1 m
each time the time was reset.
• After the tenth time, propeller blades number 2 were added and tighten with plastic
straps and the procedure was repeated and time was recorded.
