The table is from Gohon et al. (2006)
The table summarizes which information has been obtained by which of the following techniques: size
exclusion chromatography (SEC), static light scattering (SLS), dynamic light scattering (DLS), smallangle neutron scattering (SANS), and equilibrium and sedimentation velocity analytical ultracentrifugation
(Eq-AUC and SV-AUC, respectively) . The last section (“Combined Data”) proposes a consensus picture
of A8-35 particles, taking into account the relative accuracy and reliability of each technique. Two A8-35
preparations were used to gather the data, an unlabeled one (“HAPol-1”) and a partially deuterated one
(“DAPol-1”)
a Second virial coefficient. In order to avoid aggregation, SLS and DLS measurements carried out at pH 6.8
were performed immediately (minutes) after samples were diluted into the buffer
b
Radius of gyration at infinite contrast, R g
, deduced from Stuhrmann plots
c Stokes radius, calculated from R g
assuming the particles to be spherical
