3.10.2 Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS)
At first, the weight of commercial filter paper is taken by the weighing machine.
50 mL of uniformly mixed suspended biomass solution was taken by measuring
cylinder and filtered through commercial filter paper placed in a funnel. The contents
of biological reactor (biomass) were mechanically stirred gently for 1–2 min, and
the sample was taken immediately from the middle portion of the stirred biomass
to maintain uniformity in the mixture. The time taken for the above procedure was
preferred as less as possible so that no settlement of suspended particles occurs, in
other words prevention of non-uniformity of sample solution. The filter paper along
with the residue on it was kept in an oven at 105 °C for about 2 h until the moisture
