8.4.1 Validation of the Model Output for Case 1 (Continuous
Study with Synthetic Wastewater)
A comparison of the output results obtained from mathematical model was made with
those derived from the continuous study using synthetic carbonaceous wastewater.
The said comparison table is presented in Table 8.3.
It appears from the comparison table that the model output data are in a closed
vicinity with the experimental observation.
Now, from Fig. 8.9, overall removal rate is calculated as 0.049 per hr, i.e., 1.176
per day. The overall removal rate observed to be quite high indicating the efficacy of
hybrid bioreactor in treating carbonaceous organic matter within a short period.
