Fracture Surface Analysis
Scanning electron micrographs of the fracture surfaces of the test samples taken
from the welded joints and deformed in tension are shown in Fig. 5. The fracture
that occurred for the 3%TiB 2 /Al-12Si composite is governed by three concurrent and
mutually interactive mechanisms.
