220 and 110 kV transmission lines was 35,100 km, and the capacity of
substations was 95,096 MVA. According to the revised PDPr, the transmission and distribution system will be developed in five areas as spelled
out in the roadmap. First, transmission expansion is required to meet
technical requirements of the transmission system; by 2020, the transmission system will meet the reliability standard N-1 for main devices,
and other quality standards. Second, to avoid overload, congestion, low
power quality of the transmission system, and ensure the supply of power
it is necessary to improve reliability for load centers. Third, it is necessary
to further develop the 500 kV transmission grid to transmit power from
large generating centers to load centers, linking regional power grids and
transmitting power to neighboring countries. Fourth, it is necessary to
develop the 220 kV transmission grid according to dual-loop configuration; the substations in large demand regions will be designed according
to suitable configurations for flexible operations. Fifth, the roadmap calls
for conducting research for constructing GIS substations, 220/22 kW
