the average height of human women on the Earth is 168 cm or so, while men are
generally higher than women. Moreover, the spacecraft’s silhouette is drawn in the
same scale so that the size of the human bodies can be deduced by measuring the
actually-intercepted spacecraft. The measurements of the woman’s height and the
actual spacecraft dimension are also a cross-check for the basic length unit with the
hydrogen’s hyperfine transition.

3.6.4.1 Programs from Mariner to Voyager
Between 1962 and 1973, an interplanetary exploration project, known as the Mariner
Program, was conducted by the NASA in conjunction with the JPL, to investigate the
